I'll go ahead and say it, she doesn't count. She was the one who pretty much gave him access to those guns that were used, and she knew her son was troubled, why make it that easy? It's crazy how similar this is the the Thurston shooting with the parents buying their troubled teenage son guns while he's going to therapy for anger and depression. How stupid can people be?

Didnt Kips therapist told them, that guns might be healthy and therapeutic for Kip and they bought it for that reason?

You're despicable. She knew that Adam had Asperger's Syndrome - that's it. Not something that is typically associated with violence. Nancy Lanza was just as much a victim as all the others, perhaps even more so, because she was killed by her own child.

I'm not the only one who thinks she's not a victim. Go ahead and start reading all the articles about Adam's strange behavior between him and his mother as well as everyone else. Not to mention the fact that Nancy Lanza would tell people about Adam's angry outburst (she was also thinking about buying him a handgun for Christmas). You start putting everything together and it makes you wonder why Nancy even kept guns in her house in the first place. And I never said Asperger's Syndrome was what made Adam violent, obviously there are a lot of people with AS that don't go out and kill, but there were plenty of other signs that showed cause for concern.

It's a shame that it had to happen, but I don't feel empathy for some one who is that stupid.

As far as Kip Kinkel and his therapist go. If I remember reading correctly, his therapist told his parents to keep any weapons away from him. Of course that didn't stop his psychiatrist from talking about his Glock 19 handgun to Kip during one of their sessions. And guess what kind of gun was used in the shooting.

It is easy to see Adam in such a light in hindsight. But imagine you are the mother of that child. Would you really suspect your own kind, a being that you raised, love and believe to know of doing something like this? I think it may be nearly impossible for a parents to see his own child in such a light.

When you stop eating (he was 6ft and 112lbs), keep a score board of spree killers in your room and communicate with your own mother in your own house through email, yeah, I'd suspect something was a bit off. When the problems are that obvious I don't think you get the excuse of "I would never think that of my child."

How do we know, that she was aware of the score board? And to stop eating and communicate with the other person in the house is concerning behaviour, thats true and for my knowledge, Nancy was searching for a mental institution for Adam because of his status. This behaviour, however is not known to be linked with violence.
