Me too! Thanks for all the work you've done so far, it's very interesting to read your analysis of each shot. Radioactive is my favourite video, it's just so light-hearted and goofy

Radioactive is my favourite video of the lot as well, so I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Love the idea of looking at this through consecutive shots of the video and seeing things you normally wouldn't.

I feel like with all these videos I've seen them countless times, but even so, there were still things that i'd never noticed before in the RR video thread so i'm looking forward to this one too. I could be mistaken but i think there may be a Radioactive Clothing transcript somewhere on this site which may be useful.

This is my favorite video as well and I am also looking forward to this thread.

Eric Veik drove a Red Pontiac Grand Am. I have a shockingly limited knowledge of cars but i think this red one in the video looks similar to a Pontiac Grand Am so perhaps this was Veiks vehicle.

(00:26) The camera is filming inside of the car. Dylan opens this scene.

[ Notice this , a brief moment before Dylan begins to say his line , Dylan looks to the right , at Eric.
Eric may have given Dylan a cue ,kind of , " speak now." Or Dylan may have looked to Eric as a way of reassurance , that's if Dylan felt a bit nervous , he certainly felt giggly!]

           Dylan quickly glances over to his right and sees Eric in the corner of his eye.

Dylan has a tight lipped smile , it may have been a sign of nervousness or an attempt to
 suppress laughter.

DK : " Yea , the government here , wants us to take out another one of those , uh , Radioactive
clothes infested encampments." [ Dylan nods his head and pouts his lips.]

(00:36) The camera leaves Dylan , and turns to Eric.

EH : " Yep , we've been doing those for the past few months. They get harder and harder every 
time. I don't know how we're gonna keep doing this stuff. I think we might have to get some 
more weaponry."

                  [ Eric finishes his line , turns to Dylan and nods his head , as a cue.]

(00:49) The camera turns to Dylan. Dylan acknowledges Eric's nod , and Dylan nods back to Eric.

[ Dylan's hair was neatly tucked behind his ears. Now Dylan's hair gets wildly blown about.

DK : " Yep , it seems , its almost like there's a master behind it , after the blast , there's no
telling , no telling who's behind em."

[ During Dylan's (00:55) line , " there's no telling who's behind em ," he seems to struggle with
that , like he had difficulty remembering his line.

[ His first line of the movie was spoken with confidence and conviction. (00:55) seemed to be
 spoken with less conviction and less attitude , almost forgetting his words at the end.]

(00:59) Dylan finishes his line , Dylan gives a quick nod , camera turns to Eric.

(01:00) EH : " Yea [ Eric licks his lips and shakes his head] , yep a few years ago when that first
 atomic blast went off , near here , they uh , for some reason some of them clothes have been 
getting pretty radioactive on us , so we've gotta go take em out."

                                          (01:16) The camera turns to Dylan.

               DK : " Yea , its a good thing we uh , we ordered those Radioactive...Shit !"

                                 [ Dylan fluffed his line and burst out laughing!]

          (01:22) The camera turns to Eric. [ Dylan has a quiet chuckle to himself.]

EH : " Welp , we got this new guy on the team now , name's uh , what the fuck was your name?!

(01:28) Eric was supposed to name the new guy on the team as Bowski.
As seen [ above] Eric forgot his name , laughs and says , " What the fuck was your name?!"

The camera stops , and Eric is told , reminded about the name Bowski.

(01:30) The camera starts filming. [Eric is facing Dylan , Eric is smiling as he turns to face the
 camera. Face to face with the camera , Eric stops smiling and repeats his line.]

             EH : " Yep , we got this new guy on our team now , his name's uh , Bowski.
            Apparently he comes in from uh , up north some where , i don't know. He's
                                 gonna be replacing Sanders and uh , Apone."


                  [Eric finishes his line , facing the camera Eric gives a quick nod , a cue.]

The boys here give homage to the Doom video game (Arlene Sanders) and the movie Aliens (Apone was the sergeant of the space marines). Although I hesitate to use the word homage, they weren't that cognizant; probably just needed to come up with some names. This vid cracks me up!

Thank's for correcting me , i listened to Dylan's line , and checked it on the transcript. I presumed the transcript would be 100% accurate , it clearly isn't though. The transcript is handy as a backup , well , only if it is accurate , and it appears to be inaccurate in parts. Thank's for spotting that line , and correcting me gustopoet !

I LOL every time as Dylan starts out rusty and then goes full swing into character at a certain point with that slow, methodical deep voice.  "He's learning the ways."
His acting ad libs are all kinda machismo disjointed: Still , if they're smart , they learn on the job, they get to be good ,what we need to be , to survive."

Likely, channeling is alter ego, the tough hit "man in black" essay character.

Let's not forget the number of "Yeeeeeahs", "Yup", Yeps" in this video. Someone on Tumblr did a audio of all those strung together. Too funny.

I think it's funny how part of the time Dylan looks like he's embarrassed about play-acting and then an instant later he seems immersed in the fantasy. Eric seems completely into the role-playing, except for when he blows a line. The vid shows boys who are not quite beyond the childhood stage of "playing guns" but who nevertheless are about to launch the post-childhood apocalypse of NBK. Therefore it's charming and chilling at the same time.

I noticed Dylan looking nervous at the beginning of the movie , he doesn't appear to be relaxed. Sat on the backseat , Dylan's body looks quite rigid and stiff. When Dylan says : " Clothes jumped them from all sides , couldn't even watch."
Dylan is smiling , and appears to be quite amused by their former comrades deaths. I'm not sure whether Dylan smiled , due to having the giggles , or if he actually found their deaths amusing. During that line , i think Dylan also showed contempt too , contempt for their fallen comrades because they were killed , and they obviously weren't strong enough to be on the same team as E/D , because E/D were superior , and just like Pyle guy , they kind of deserved to die because they were inferior.

Have you noticed Eric's contempt for Pyle guy? " Just beggin to be shot." Pyle guy didn't have what it takes to be fighting along side E/D , he didn't gain any respect because he was weak , and inferior.
The best scenes are coming up shortly. We get to see E/D employing their military / law enforcement tactics as they both work their way around the home of Eric V. There are a lot of funny moments too !
It is certainly chilling in many ways , such as E/D sweeping each room with their toy guns , envisaging them both working their way around CHS during NBK is all too easy and clear.

Yes , there was some machismo , and it reeked of testosterone in the car that day , i'm surprised the windows weren't steamed up ! Dylan seemed to employ a kind of , strong and silent type persona. He often spoke with a monotonous tone and style. I haven't heard that Tumblr track. I will check it out , for a giggle !

(03:45) Mike V stands on the road , and films the car as it approaches the destination for the following sequence.

[ Prior to , seconds before E/D open their doors , Eric turns to his left , turns to Dylan. Eric's
cap is caught in the shadows of the windscreen. There may have been a " 1-2-3 go!" with the 
intention of opening their doors simultaneously , for effect. Although Dylan's door opening isn't
quite up to speed , and minutely lagged behind.]

They should have retaken that bit of them driving up and getting out so they exited in tandem. Dylan really slams that door effortlessly as his long legs stride and catch up to Eric's saunter in no time flat.

I find that "begging to be shot" phrase to be chilling too, cause I've read it somewhere in Eric's journal, where he was serious and wasn't joking around for the camera.
Also, I think I read here the character's name is actually Taggart, not Tiger? Apparently it's from the Doom novels

Yes , i agree , the sequence would have looked better if they both had opened their doors and exited the car simultaneously.

The first time i heard Dylan referring to Eric's character , i thought he said Taggart , i got the transcript and that has got Eric down as Tiger. I presumed i heard incorrectly and went with the name Tiger. I'm not sure now. Where did you see the name Taggart?

Taggart is correct. It's from Doom.

If somebody asked me to describe Eric Harris , describe Eric Harris briefly , but intensely.
I would tell them to look at Eric's T-shirt because there is the answer.

To me , that T-shirt IS Eric Harris. He couldn't have picked a better one if he tried. Although the 
shirt is a costume for the movie , its exactly what made him tick [no pun intended]

A ferocious apocalyptic nuclear blast , an explosion driven by anger , hatred and revenge.

Although Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold are dead , they both still have power and control over us all.
They might not have envisaged such a worldwide interest of them both , after their deaths.
That may have been a underestimated view regarding their after death status.

I feel that their very essence in life , their number one goal in life was driven by a explosion , and the kindling that fed those flames , fires , and apocalyptic explosions was anger , hate , and revenge.

Brilliant post Rik75. I think the same about that shirt and I think that the same happened with the shirts that they wore they day of the massacre. I believe they tried to send a.message with the clothes they wore, the music they listened to and even with the movies they liked to watch. All that could influence in their personalities and thoughts but at the same time, they used all that to represent what they really were

I've always thought, this scene could be inspire in the famous Tarantino trunk scenes that appear in movies that they watched like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs

How come you haven't updated this, rik75?

The sad thing about the above photos is that a similar image is the last thing many of the victims will have seen.

I have turned this back into a regular thread because it seems as though rik75 is no longer active and isn't going to finish the thread. If he ever decides to return and finish the thread, I will make it a sticky again. Or if anyone else would like to finish it, please feel free to do so.

It is a shame to see it sit unfinished because rik75 did a great job with these threads.

Wow, really disappointed to see rik75 is not active anymore. Hopefully he comes back. I have enjoyed all of his posts where he analyzes the videos, and he always points out things I have overlooked.

I hope he is OK too and that he eventually returns to finish this thread.
