Massive Attack - Mezzanine

I'm curious about the album Mezzanine by the group Massive Attack and how it relates to Eric and Dylan. I can't for the life of me remember or locate the source where I read this information, but apparently they both listened to this album somewhat religiously. I find this interesting because people often bring up KMFDM, NIN, and Marilyn Manson when it comes to their music interests, but when I searched for Massive Attack relating to Eric and Dylan I came up with nothing. Does anyone have any information on this? Did they in fact listen to this album religiously right before NBK day? I have to admit, the first track of the album, when I listened to it, I was like yeah, I could totally envision myself gearing up and getting ready to do some bad ass shit with this music in the background haha. I'm not saying murdering people is bad ass... but listen to the first song on the album, you'll get what I'm saying. Any and all comments and information are welcome. Thanks guys!!!!

I've never heard that either Eric or Dylan listened to this album religiously. IIRC, there is a receipt or a short mention of a Massive attack album in the 11k. Not necessarily Mezzanine, though.

I can imagine Dylan listening to this band.

Interesting coincidence I just noticed!!! This album was released on 4/20/98, exactly one year before the massacre. Maybe that's why people think there is a connection... although that doesn't prove they listened to it religiously, I can see why someone may have started that rumor. If anyone else has anymore info, feel free to post, but I think I just solved my own mystery...

Only thing that coems to mind is that "massive attack" is a part of the lyrics for the song "Son of a gun" by KMFDM.

This is an awesome album. Totally sounds like something Dylan would be into, I'm not sure that Eric would be that into though.
