PostSubject: Private Messaging Information.   Wed Jan 13, 2016 2:49 am

Private messaging is available to all members who have at least 10 posts on either the public or private (the "Miscellaneous" section is view-able to forum members only) boards. Prior to a post count of 10, you will be able to receive private messages but you won't be able to send them.

We do allow members to use the "Totally Random" thread in "Miscellaneous" to bump up their post count if they'd like to get their count high enough to send private messages.

The limit is set to 10 to cut back on/prevent spam private messages. It does still happen from time to time though. If you are getting spam private messages, let a staff member know and we can look into that.

The rules of private messaging are similar to the forum (aside from sharing private information. You can share whatever you'd like about yourself to others in private messaging. Just be cautious of who you give information to about yourself). We absolutely do not allow harassment, threatening or any kind of vicious behavior in private messages. If you are using the private message system to harass another forum member, you will be automatically banned from this forum and will not be able to rejoin.

All 4 private message folders (Inbox, Outbox, Sent and Save) now hold up to 200 messages. Once you reach 200, the system automatically deletes older messages. So be sure you keep your boxes below the 200 mark to prevent messages from being deleted.

If you've sent someone a private message and you want to know if they've read/received it, check your 'Outbox'. If the message is still in the outbox, it means the member has not read it yet.

If you have any questions/concerns regarding private messaging, you can either respond to this thread or contact a forum staff member.

Thank you.
