That just looks like a regular home security shotgun. Where was this found? Also, what are all those round, bowling ball like objects in the above photos?

urgh. the actual photo I commented upon looks like a semi automatic gun, not the one I was actully commenting upon. I was looking at a picture of a shotgun when I commented.  Embarassed

That was found at the front right corner inside the theatre.

The devices included about 30 aerial shells commonly used in commercial fireworks.

A federal law enforcement official at the time said the shells had been cannibalized, reconstructed and set up in the living room, where a stream of wires connected them to a "control box" in the unit's kitchen.

Agents also discovered inside Apt. 10 a pyrotechnic box with six-inch fireworks shells attached to a number of black balls filled with gunpowder, gas, and oil on top of the fridge. Holmes told detectives that the detonator to set off the box was attached to a remote control outside next to a garbage dumpster, a boom box, and a remote-controlled car.

So, rather than reloading this shotgun, he just dropped it and used something already loaded?

James E. Holmes, the man accused in the Aurora shootings, used all three types of weapons inside the theater: first firing the shotgun, then using the semiautomatic rifle until its 100-round barrel magazine jammed, and finishing off with a pistol.

That setup in James's apartment looked like some weird rude Goldberg like contraption and what ups with all those filled two liter bottles all over the floor? Are they filled with gasoline or something flammable? His eyes in those photos gives me the creeps lol but the brains poster in that one photo was cool though.

Yes, the 2-liter bottles were filled with gasoline.
