There's something that I was thinking some days, why there's only two single photos that shows corpses?
Like, the police is hiding something? Because, if they took photos of Eric and Dylan, so possibly they took photos of everything that was made that day...

Wasn't it Randy Brown who leaked those pictures?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Hundreds of photos were taken, you can find a lot of them on the internet. For example, these ones are from the outside crime scene: Outside Crime Scene – S. W. Area

The library crime scene photographs were never released, they were leaked to the press but only the two showing Eric and Dylan were published.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Well, the pictures were originally printed by a tabloid, so you cannot expect to see high resolution photos in that kind of paper. Then those grainy low quality images were scanned and uploaded to the web. Everytime you scan/upload a picture it loses quality and in addition to that, a lot of the versions you can find online have had their colour/contrast modified to look brighter and stuff, so that's why all of them look kinda crappy.

Some people think Mr. Rorborough leaked them, too. Since the world saw his dead son laying on the sidewalk, he might have wanted to 'get back' by showing the crime scene pics of E&D

If you're looking for victim pictures from the library you probably won't ever find them. Would you want your child's dead body being passed around online if you were a parent? I sure wouldnt.

Awesome. I actually never saw a handful of those. Especially Eric's trench coat on the ground outside.

In the 11k it's noted that they took a dozen or so pics of Dylan and Eric before removing the bodies.

The chances of us seeing any library crime scene photos are just as rare as seeing the basement tapes

Well at least the victim crime scene photos were leaked, they are probably out there somewhere. So they will be easier to find than the basement tapes.

Is that so? I somehow doubt that. Wouldn't they already be scattered around the internet if they really were leaked?

I heard years ago that they were floating around Littleton. This was before interwebz was popular someone out there might have some hard copies but doubtful you'll find them on the net

FlyerFan is right. What parent would want photos of their dead child's corpse being passed around the masses? Nothing to hide, just showing the due respect.

I'm sure someone has physical copies of the photos somewhere in the Co. area. it's just a matter of solicitation the right folks without offending them. Well, not offending them too bad.

I think I floated the idea of even tossing up an ad on the local Craigslist to see if anyone would upload scans. Hell, I would put together a gofundme for it if there was credible proof that someone had the pics.

Sorry but I find that a little bit sickening. They're dead, we know they are dead, why do we need to see their mangled, innocent bodies?

It's not about seeing gory, mangled bodies. It's more related to the fact that finding those photos would be a huge accomplishment for people who still have unanswered question about the shooting.

I agree that it is a bit off color, and the victim's families would likely have unkind things to say about such a pursuit.

People are striving to find remaining photos, footage and evidence from the CHS shooting all the time. Not all of it will be pleasant...

I wouldn't mind seeing them... It would put alot into perspective. As of now it's just stains on a carpet, where if you saw a body it would have more of a OMG they did this impact.

Agreed.

I even spoke with one of the Pulitzer prize winning journalists who were there. He gave me a couple of tips for finding the pics that he took for the Rocky Mountain News., as well a the other photojournalists who worked the shooting.

He was cool with it. In fact, he said that he would like to see the negs since he forgets what he took pics of that day.

A journalist gave you tips about how to find a bunch of crime scene photo's? That sounds odd.

Not crime scene photos, but unseen photos from that day. He did have some shots from the library, if memory serves me right. My specific request to him was in search of photos form the night of the shooting, where you would be able to see law enforcement and other things.

The point I was trying to make is that the pictures are important for the sake of documentation and historical merit. Even if they were horrific and gory, some of those shots could possibly shed a lot of light on remaining questions regarding how bodes were positioned etc.

Somewhat off topic, but my father was a police officer for a rather small (a little more than half the size of Littleton) town. As a kid, I'd spend a lot of time hanging around the PD while he was doing paperwork and that sort of thing. A few times we'd go into the evidence room together, and I was always surprised at the massive amount of stuff in there. Things that were decades old from cases that had been resolved a long time ago. I asked him why they kept evidence from so long ago when the cases were finished, and he told me that certain crimes merited the evidence to never be destroyed or removed. Violent crimes and murder were on the list. This includes binders full of photos of every aspect of the crime scene. I remember a crime where just about every bootprint was photographed from several angles.

What I'm getting at is that I'm sure the Jeff Co. has exorbitant amounts of this evidence still sitting around, regardless of what they say about 'destroying' it. Granted, different police / sheriff stations handle things differently but I believe this is a pretty universal trait. It's also quite possible these have been leaked to non-public sources. After all, I was able to freely browse the evidence room as a 12 year old with no supervision.

I think that's very relevant. JEFFCO had a big problem with leaks in the early days after Columbine. I've always thought that they held onto the photos, even though they claim to have destroyed the basement tapes.

That's not to mention the fact that someone in the Littleton area has copies of the leaked photos. It's just a matter of finding them and maybe paying them. I would imagine they might want to stay anonymous.

Final note; I know guys who work in law enforcement, and I can say that photo evidence ends up going home a lot. Sometimes it never goes back to evidence lockup. Also, a lot of these types of photos end up in powerpoints, inter-agency lessons and teachings etc. I would bet money that there's a publicly viewable law enforcement training powerpoint that has unreleased Columbine photos on it.

How do you know that victim crime scene photos were leaked and why would Jeffco let that happen?

Who's spreading these rumours that it's for sure been out somewhere, floating around Littleton, or around the web? Deep web even? Do you know how many people surf the web every second even the creeps who linger on places they shouldn't be? If someone saw a gore shot up dead body picture without context, it will for sure be spread and someone would go claim by now that the picture is a Columbine crime scene photo. Even if no one is claiming anything it wouldn't take long for the next person to speculate it's a Columbine victim.

Seriously, If it is not leaked the investigators still have it and why would they just give it out to someone unrelated to victims to have it.

That was the grouping of photos that had the E/D suicide picture in it. According to some stories at the time Brian R. was showing them around town to select people. National Enquirer got a hold of some and ran the story.

After that, JEFFCO locked down the evidence room and forbade anyone to go in there without a lot of prior clearance. JEFFCO had a ton of leaks, which is why I'm surprised the other remaining crime scene photos haven't surface yet. It's really only a matter of time.

I'm surprised yet not that Brian would do something like that, but that is out of malice isn't? Should he not be doing that? I know at the time he and Randy together did the most that they could to release half the info that we know today, they did alot of work actually.

If it's only a matter of time then goodness me victim photos are hiding out somewhere. But why do we need to see it?
