| Was thinking the other day... What if, for example, some film director, by some weird chance, saw their home videos and actually wanted to cast Eric in a major movie that'll be coming out soon, similar to what happened to Edward Furlong and the Terminator 2?
"I will sooner die than betray my own thoughts", would those thoughts still be there after getting a huge chance like this? He loves action movies, he'd get to star in one, which brings fame, power, money, potentially lots of girls and the respect he'd get from all the fan-girls and fan-boys, most importantly, from his school. Do you think he'd be turned around completely and let go of his bitter ways and all the anger? Or would he say hell no to the opportunity and just go on a senseless killing spree regardless?
Imagine you had a shit period, a week, month, 6 months, a year... To the point where you'd kill yourself and all of a sudden you get blessed by some opportunity, that sure as hell ought to change anyone's mindset!
What about Dylan?
Discuss.

| This makes me kinda sad. I had thought before that they both *seemed* to enjoy making those movies for their video production class, or they at least appeared to have fun with it. And Dylan was involved in operating the sound and lighting for school plays. I wondered why they weren't interested in going into that field... Maybe it was hard for them to take it seriously or something.
I don't know, Eric Might jump on it if it was before he got way too deep into planning nbk. I think his parents would probably encourage him to take the opportunity, and maybe he would take it just to keep them off his back like he did with the marines. Dylan I'm not so sure about; maybe if you gave his character a love interest? I think he'd be more interested in working behind the scenes. Eric seemed to be more comfortable in front of the camera than Dylan. | |

| I don't know that Dylan would have ever been in a movie per say. I think he was way too self conscious and embarrassed to be in the spotlight.
Eric...maybe? But it would have to be a movie made for his interests. Him cast as a war hero or something with a lot of gore and violence. _________________ Hold me now I need to feel complete Like I matter to the one I need

| very hypothetical huh,but even if he made it to the big screen,it's a bitter environment, filled and powered by broken dreams. when the credits roll, life becomes real again. you can't pretend to be happy for long,it will come back to you, that's why we see so many drug abuses and suicides among performers, since the old days. they made home videos for fun,but finding reasons to live through movies it's another level of mindset. _________________ 'Life is on the wire. The rest is waiting.'

| For some reasons I can't picture somebody like Eric 100% happy with life. His mindset was a broken record, "What I don't like must be destroyed" and so on, a thought forever looping. Let's just say that to make a blockbuster movie you need to cooperate a lot with other actors, staff, directors, etc. Eric loved to do things by himself. The stardom could also turn out to be a harsh environment for somebody who regularly takes medication to steer clear from anger provoking situations. Honestly, I think that only Dylan could have pulled himself out of the slump he was in if he had been given a little more time to acknowledge that he had in fact many talents. _________________ GeoCities fangirl

| While I think initially they would have been excited I have mixed thoughts.
I think its possible that Eric would've actually become worse in a Hollywood environment. Particularly if, by some chance, the movie was a flop .
Dylan, I think , may also have become worse as the stress of making a movie settled in. Given Dylan's mental state and the role stress plays in episodes , I can't imagine it ending well. |

| Good posts, yeah I've been back and forth with this too... Eric could have also potentially ended up like Elliot Rodger too. | |

| I have a theory that Hitmen wasn't just made as a class assignment of making a fake business, but it was made to gain followers from bullied kids all across America, as they knew that the news would probably air it. | |
