I know we're not allowed to post tumblr links but I hope it's okay to quote one. I just read this and that I was confused because I had never heard this before. "Hiding in a one person bathroom off of the faculty lounge, Nick Foss, a student, and Joyce Jankowski, an old teacher of Dylan’s, along with others, were afraid the shooters would find them hiding in the bathroom. Nick and Joyce then crawled into an air vent, fifteen feet above the ground, as an attempt to escape the school but almost immediately fell through. She was treated for the injuries and was released April 20th,1999. Nick Foss was in the commons at the time of the shooting. When he ran outside to ask the shooters what they were doing, they pointed their weapons at him. At first, one of the shooters pointed a gun at his head, but it didn’t fire when he pulled the trigger. A bullet however did graze his head."

From Nicholas Foss' statement in the 11K (pp 000198-000204):

That he asked them what they were doing and the two then turned pointing their
guns at him.

That one had a wood stocked rifle with a big clip and the other an automatic
handgun.

That he realized they intended to shoot him so he got up and ran back towards the
school. As he ran they began firing at him and the windows in front of him
shattered.

That he got back into the school and ran into a cook and some teachers and they
all went into a restroom.

Foss said that he was in the cafeteria eating lunch with some friends when a girl came running in screaming that someone was shooting a gun. He said that everyone started running one way and he ran the opposite direction and outside the building. When he got outside he observed two bodies. One was on the grass and the other was on the bottom of the stairs. He ran to the person on the grass and saw that the person had "half of his face blown off and was obviously dead" . He ran to the person at the stairs and shook him but felt that that person was also dead. He said this victim was
shot in the back and was very young and probably a freshman. At this point Foss saw two males at the top of the stairs shooting guns. One man was shooting a shotgun and the other a hand gun. The man with the shotgun was shooting from left to right, pumping the gun rapidly. He felt a shot wizz by his left temple. Foss said that he identified the shotgun shooter as Eric, known to him through a psychology class they took together. He said that Eric was dressed in everything black and seemed like he was armed with several weapons. The other man was wearing a trench coat and he also
appeared to be well armed. A bomb went off and Foss fell against a wall. He then saw another student that had a wound in his left leg and pulled him into a door. Foss said that when he saw Eric and the other man shooting their guns and throwing bombs, they were laughing and hollering "O ya".

So was it Dylan who missed shooting his head or Eric? A deliberate miss or lousy aiming? No offence but Dylan's shooting/Arsenal was beyond lousy that day but thankfully.

I've seen a documentary with this guy in. It actually showed inside the room he was in and where he fell through the vent. He said Eric & Dylan were banging on the door but didn't enter.

I think it might have been made by an ex-student of Columbine who went around various different schools that had been shot up. Virginia Tech was definitely one of them (they interviewed someone who was wounded in the class she was actually shot in if I recall correctly). They also went to a school where two young boys shot at classmates from the trees outside the playground (again, name escapes me - I wasn't familiar with that case though. It was a primary school).

Reading that account seems like Eric. The all black throws it off a bit but Eric was wearing black pants and a black vest so it may have looked to him like he was all black. Plus he said the other guy had a trench coat on. Eric took off his trench coat near the start. Dylan had his on until they entered the library.

It's the truth though, their marksmanship was beyond crappy and their guns sucked like hell. On a good note, the casualties were not any worse.

I think you're thinking about Sam Granillo, he had a video where he showed inside of the Columbine kitchen where he and some others held the door closed when the gunmen tried to open the door. He also traveled to other shooting locations. It was a 6 part documentary called Road Home. He also claimed to be a friend of Dylan from theater class.

Thanks for that like [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thats not a bad documentary, I liked the part in part 6 where he is sat at a table in the cafeteria and you can see the stairs behind him that Eric took aim on the propane bombs from. quite creepy however I feel that perhaps it would of been a better documentary if perhaps it was made by someone who had interacted with the boys that day or been part of a much larger part.

as a marksman i can tell you, it is incredibly difficult to hit a moving target at any distance of more than 8-9 feet. (esp in the head)
