(Please feel free to move this to a more appropriate thread if needed).

I'm planning on visiting the school and memorial to pay my respects. I also want to take pictures and I'm wondering if there would be a problem with me stopping in the parking lot to take a few photos of the school. I saw a video a couple months ago of a guy who was making a vlog in the parking lot and security told him he had to leave. He was only there to see the school and pay respects (also a clean cut looking guy, so he didn't exactly look suspicious).

I've seen other people get pictures of the school. I don't want to look disrespectful, and I sure as heck don't want to travel clear across the country just to be told to leave the property haha I know I can't visit while school is in session. I understand if the school is considered private property. I know the memorial is public.

Just wanted to get your thoughts on the matter and if anyone knew if there were any rules regarding the school. I'm not talking about going inside, that's obviously not allowed, but just taking some pictures outside.

Thanks

There is nothing wrong with taking pics of the school, but if you're on their property they are allowed to move you on. Parking lot is still their property but I doubt they would kick up a fuss for a few pics, as long as you're not seen.
