In his research, Adam came across a user on Wikipedia who was a frequent poster of articles about mass murder so he used the name "KnaveSmig" to directly contact the user. He wrote some self-deprecating stuff about the mediocrity of his work, thanked the other user for his useful research and posted download links to his own research, including the mass murder spreadsheet he had compiled. Unfortunately, the links are now dead.
The user never responded to him until April of 2013, saying Hey KnaveSmig, I hope you are still alive. Sorry for not answering, but until now I really couldn't be bothered to do so. Bad me, I know. I also didn't save your list, and it ain't available on rapidshare anymore, so if you should ever read this would you upload it again and leave me a note here?
He also apparently had an inkling that this user was Adam Lanza after information came out about Lanza's interest in mass murder. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Always good when Coleman updates his blog, I had almost forgotten how much I am looking forward to his book.
I had to look up "knave", and it means a dishonest or unscrupulous man. I'm not trying to make it appear prominent, just thought it was interesting. It seems safe to assume "smig" is short for, or a nod to, smiggles.
