Why didn't Eric finished the napalms?

Throughout Eric's journal he wrote how the napalms are under construction but he never finished them. Anyone knows why?

He was doing a trail and error type thing with it. So my assumption is that he just could never get the mixture right.

They had a couple ideas that they did not implement on 4/20. Similar to what SG said, they couldn't get what they needed or figure out how to do it right in time.

The napalm probably didn't fit with the plan they had in mind for the massacre, and as already stated they were under time constraints.

Napalm isn't hard to make, so I don't think there was a problem with the mixture.
It had no practial use in the plan, it was more of an experiment to see what could be done with it.
In the end, it didn't make the cut.

Pretty much a gel/liquid substance that burns, and is very hard to extinguish.

I wonder how/if things would have been different had they found a way to incorporate it into the plan?

Maybe Eric trashed the idea when Chris Morris refused to store it for him.

Eric at one point or another had an idea to use the napalm as a flamethrower and on the day of the massacre light the kids on fire, and apparently he was even gonna commit suicide by blowing himself up with the napalm. At one point or another I'm pretty sure on the basement tapes he points to an image in his journal of the napalm and says "thats the suicide plan".
