On Monday, April 19, 1993, the Branch Davidian compound outside Waco, Texas, burned to the ground:
Two years later, on Wednesday, April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh blew up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City:

I think McVeigh intended for his attack to be on the second anniversary of the end of the Waco siege as that was one of the things he saw as "government tyranny".

He said Waco was one of his motives but I don't know if he said anything on why the bombing was on the 19th April.
