Great track from Doom 2, pretty foreboding atmosphere.

I think Dylan would have really enjoyed Brand New's album Deja Entendu if he had been around for its release. IMO Brand New is The Ultimate Sad Boy Band. The Devil & God are Raging Inside Me also seems like an appropriate album (& title). In particular "Good To Know That If I Ever Need Attention All I Have To Do is Die" makes me think of the boys. Lyrics are as follows:

Am I correct to defend the fist that holds this pen?
It's ink that lies,
the pen, the page, the paper.
I live, I learn.
You will always take what I have earned.
And so aid my end while I believe I'm winning.

Our friends speak out in our defense.
Pay ten deaf ears for two months rent.
We burn their gallows they erect,
and cut the nooses they tie for our necks.

[Chorus:]
You constantly make it impossible to make conversation.
Keep us comatose but audible.
And I like it the farther I get out.
We pass it off but it's all on us.
Only common conversation,
it took everything I got.
And I like it the farther I get out.

Once said, always said.
I will hold the past over your head.
I'll speak my mind whenever I feel slighted.
I am hellbent on extracting all of my revenge.
Take heart, sweetheart, or I will take it from you.

We slip concealed back to the keep.
Concede to do the work for free.
We prey as wolves among the sheep and slit the necks of soldiers while they sleep.

I have an entire playlist, but these are the few that are more unconventional
Killing You - Broods
Break Free - Like A Storm
Circles - Eden
Running Away - Midnight Hour

'Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)' by Baz Luhrmann. I remember this song came out not long after Columbine and it always takes me back to that time.

Shinigami - Sanctuary Pt.2 & Shinedown - 45
The screaming part of Sanctuary reminds me of both of them because it's something they'd say before committing the shooting. The 45 song makes me think of their suicide.

I think if Combichrist had been around back then, both boys (but especially Eric) would have adored them.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this. With Eric's well-known love for industrial music, I feel like he would have definitely loved the Aggrotech sub-genre. Bands like Combichrist, Nachtmahr, Grendel and earlier Aesthetic Perfection seem right up his alley.

I think I still have my KMFDM CDs at my moms house back east. She may have gotten rid of them. I got into a punk phase after Columbine and wanted to be VERY anti establishment.

Lately Titanium by Sia has made me think of Columbine.

Sorry if this has been already posted, but this is what popped in my head. I'm not a big fan of industrial, but this is pretty nice.

Well..That song 'Disarm' by Smashing Pumpkins always makes me think of Eric when I hear it.

Funny, I always think of Dylan when I listen to the song because of the soft& sad melody and since he was such a big SP fan. The line "the killer in you is the killer in me" gives me the chills.

This seems very fitting.

Amy Lee's voice is hauntingly beautiful.
