"Sheriff Honea said in an update at 4:39 p.m. that the victims were shot with a handgun. It is unknown at this time how many times they were shot or where they were physically hit. Both boys are in critical condition following the incident."

"Honea said that the shooter was at the school to meet with the principal earlier on Wednesday to inquire about "enrolling a student". The sheriff said that moments later, screams and gunshots were heard."

They know who the shooter is but don't want to release it publicly yet.

Update: Both injured students are in "extremely critical condition".

A man was found by a California Highway Patrol office with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, with the sheriff's office confirming that the suspected shooter had died. The CHP officer found a handgun next to the suspect.

The shooter has been identified as 56-year-old Glenn Litton. Litton left a statement indicating that the attack was in response to U.S. “involvement with genocide and oppression of Palestinians along with attacks toward Yemen”. He also seems to have considered targeting another Seven-Day Adventist school in a nearby town.
