When you're constantly targeted by insults, mocks and cruelty, no matter who's the perpetrator, you have to cope in some kind of way. Personally I've been the center of this unwanted attention for years, though as soon as I got struck by the first joke about my personality I chose not to waste time teaching people how to think before being judgemental. Then, as you know, if the fire is not fueled, it eventually wears out, and so it did. People who disrespected me gradually noticed that I couldn't be the laughingstock anymore, because I didn't overreact. But I also understand why so many people can't take a burden like this on their shoulders and snap angrily at everybody doing the worst things a human mind can conceive. Not that I condone them, I just know where all the rage comes from, they just want to be treated like respectable human beings, not trash.
