School Doom 2 1996

In 1996 a Finish game modder made School Doom 2 which was based on his own high school. Do you think that Eric and Dylan may have played this modification back in the day? It was posted on all the main Doom modding web pages in the late 90's (DoomWorld, DoomWadStation). And also the storyline to the game does feel ahead of its time considering it was before 1999.

Story:

Code:: THE school is a hell. Everyone knows it. But for you, things are just
getting worse... Nobody really understands why you spend your time by the
computer... Nobody understands you at all... Nobody even wants to
understand you... You are being looked down... You are being mocked...
You have no place in their society...You hate them, their selfishness and
all... and you wish you'd have the courage to say it aloud.In your school
card there is a mentioning : "ASOCIAL." You are really feeling down...
depressed... You think about committing suicide, but then you realize it's
not what you want to do. You should make the others suffer rather than
yourself! That is the real point. Next day, you go to school as usual...
As you open the door, many voices with nothing to say strike your ears.
That is quite what you expected. Then you see HER. The one you were
once interested in, the only one of those fools you wanted to be kind to,
and who told all the school of your desperate actions. She just smiles at
you with overlook. Then she says:
"Hello, Dirty One! How are the fleas today? Why are you gasping? There
should be a law against freaks like you that prohibits stinking at school."
You hit her. You hit her again, again, again, again, again... Satisfaction...
OOPS! You've really made a mistake now. Not considering her miserable life
worth anything, but YOUR life... They'll never forgive you THIS...
They'll surely get you, they surely will. The punishment will be
terrible... But one thing is sure... They'll never get you alive! You will
fight! You will kill them all! You will burn the schoolbuilding out of
the map as if it never has existed... Who cares if you are right or wrong!
It's your destiny... it's your hell... it's your SCHOOL-DOOM!

Hard to say. Eric was very into Doom so it wouldn't surprise me if he did play it.

I know by 1996 Eric was very much into creating his own WADS so it wouldn't surprise me if he was scouring the net to try to find inspiration/people to play it

there were shooters angry at school and stuff before '99 though

Is there anywhere to get that map or play it somehow? I feel like I wanna judge how similar it is to how they viewed their life in school. If they played it then it is really interesting.

the site is still up since 1996. And I stumbled across it in 2001 when I was using the search engine of the time (before Google) for Doom websites, it is one of the first ones that came up, so I'd imagine if Eric looked around the internet he must have came across this site.

In the guest book area there is a comment left in 1996 by someone called Eric with an AOL e-mail with the number 15 (possibly the age of the user at the time) with an IP range of Kansas/Colorado area. Though it could be a coincidence.

It's interesting that a Doom map that seems to be about a school shooting was around before Columbine.
It was Finnish though, and a school shooting had happened in Rauma, Finland a few years before this map was created. Maybe that inspired them to create it.
