Yeah he did throw it in a pond in or around the campus and as others are saying here someone should look for it one day. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] forget the scuba, use a mini submarine with metal detector and xray capabiltiies

Imagine what was on Cho's Hard Disk Drive? I wonder what other games he played besides Sonic The Hedgehog?, I'm curious if Cho bookmarked Nicolas Cage performances because Nicolas Cage was his favorite actor?, I'm curious what other music files Cho listened to on his computer besides Guns N' Roses, Nirvana and Collective Soul?.

Even if someone recovered the hard disk drive, the hard disk drive data would be unrecoverable because of the hard disk drive being soaked in water. It would be a great piece of Murderabilia if someone found it.

I don't think his harddrive would be particularly interesting. School stuff, drafts of his manifesto, some .mp3 files, maybe some movies. Maybe some emulators if he was playing Sonic the Hedgehog.

Though since he threw his harddrive away between the first shooting and the second, it can't have gotten very far. A dedicated Cho fan could lower a large magnet on a fishing rod into every nearby pond until it was recovered.

A magnet could damage it further though.

Water doesn't damage the platters. If the hard drive is still intact, and there wasn't anything corrosive on the water, and if you replace some parts then you might recover the data, but i'm pretty sure Cho formatted it (if he really wanted to get rid of whatever data he had)

Anyway, maybe he didn't throw it at a pond. I think people assume he did because the feds were looking for the hard drive at a pond, but nobody really knows what Cho did with the hard drive as far as I know

It's weird that the cops never found it. Maybe the pond thing was wrong. They used SCUBA divers and everything, which sounds pretty thorough. But where else could it be? Loose floorboard in his room? Flushed it down the toilet?

Any Cho fans dedicated enough to swim through the Virginia sewers? Laughing

Maybe when he was mailing his manifesto to NBC he just dropped it in a trashcan.
