I think this will be discussed for a very long time. Always when there is a school shooting with a high casualty number, people tend to get more emotionally effected.

And the battle between gun rights and gun control will continue because people need the most advanced weapons just in case the government will turn against them.

An absolute 2nd amendment with no limits for everyone is the solution, because what could possibly go wrong?

Gun laws won’t change, there will be statements about changing gun laws the next few days but nothing will change. Also am I wrong, since he was captured by the police, to want him to plead not guilty so there will be a public trial.

Yes. It was slightly shocking to see it come out of nowhere in the middle of a broadcast full of emotionless reporters and commentators doing their best to put on their "serious voice" and "serious face."

People have begun to talk more about PTSD and aftereffects among uninjured survivors but it must be difficult to be assigned to endless scenes of pointless violence as a police officer or an FBI agent (not saying that this man in the video has PTSD but I'm sure that you don't observe the aftermath of violence like this and then just forget about it). I bet the most perplexing thing for the FBI agent assigned to monitor this forum ( ) is why any of us would choose to spend so much time thinking about terrible acts of violence. Obviously, there's a big difference between reading about it and seeing it in person but judging by some of the dreams that people have posted here, these sorts of things can really get under your skin anyway.

I haven't been keeping up with what the news is saying about this current event. I always wait a couple weeks before starting my own "investigation" because so much false information goes out, and media outlets trying to be the first to mention something. So I just wait for the facts to come out. As for the FBI being able to track his IP down, yes. This so far is seeming like another columbine incident where some students are saying they saw it coming, and he already had a troubled past. The reasons I believe the FBI did nothing was, because exactly like columbine, they thought it was no serious threat to anyone, and time will eventually put it in the past. Or because of modern internet culture, with trolls and memes they probably thought it wasn't worth getting an "innocent" kids entire life blown out of proportions because of a joke online. I keep out of mainstream news and just go by people at the schools words, or people who knew the kid. Especially since mainstream news always has an agenda with their political views right or left. This is really looking like the Brooks Brown incident where no one took the threats serious. Your comment is a perfect example of why I stay out of news information on this event, because there is already one thing they got completely wrong.

On one hand I've heard that the school was 40% Jewish. On the other hand the shooter wasn't exactly picky in terms of who he was shooting.

Hopefully the information being spread will be rectified in the future when the police investigation has made progress.

There is usually a lot of confusion in the first days after the incident, as we have seen in the previous mass shootings, in particular the Las Vegas massacre for example.

There are some benefits of having the perpetrator alive, like the possibility of interrogating the person. I only wish this was possible to be done with Adam considering the similar weapon used in the shootings.

I understand what you're saying. And if that is the case then the FBI needs to change their policies. Because, yes it could have been just a stupid joke made by a kid. But I feel like if they had done any actually investigating into the matter (like looking at his instagram account) then they would have taken the situation much more seriously. Who it have stopped him? Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know now.
