It does SG. It sure does.
Not to sound old but back in my day we didn’t do that stuff. We sent cards to the victims families and things that if anti bullying campaigns
The edgiest thing we dared to say was that there were 15 victims not 13. Ok and the occasional “Eric had a nice ass” post.
Now look at what we have.

To quote Erik Veik “ I don’t like it, I really don’t, it makes me mad. “
Change the "mad" to "gag"....
What if it makes someone mad and makes them gag though?

True. But not everyone goes and shoots up a school and then gets those ugly pictures posted all over Tumblr with weird ass captions...

Okay. I'm just more interested in his motives, not in his face.

Again this has nothing to do with his looks. This is about the fangirls of Tumblr!

I agree. This is also an opportunity for people to actually speak to a school shooter and learn about his motive so that we might be able to prevent the next onesl or help a troubled kid.
How many of us would love to speak with Eric and get inside his head?

Don't buy it, it's very clear from his posts on social media that he was a psychopath. He's only doing it in the hopes of getting a lighter sentence.

lighter sentence? He killed 17 people, he not gonna have lighter sentence after that, and I bet he knows that already.

Or he/his lawyer are trying to avoid the death penalty.
Have him act remorseful to gain sympathy.

I don't think it matters what you do in court after you've killed 17 people and wounded a fuckton of others. You could have the most heartbreaking backstory ever, bawl your eyes out, beg for forgiveness from the families and have them all forgive you in court, but you still are probably going to get the same sentence as someone who flipped off victim's families and said something cruel to them. Murder is murder, and all sentences should be the same. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Its nice to think that anyways. But our justice system is screwed up. Everyday you can read about people getting very little time for horrific crimes.

What kind of lesser sentence could he even get?! He killed 17 people, injured 14 others.. Why even bother? He's getting the death penalty for sure.

The worst example I can think of this happening is in the case of the 2006 school shooting at Roseburg High School. A 14 year old freshman shot his friend 4 times in the back, fled the school, and threatened suicide when the police later apprehended him. His friend survived, but now walks with a limp, lives off of food stamps, and can't hold a steady job because of what the shooter did to him. Vincent (the shooter) was released from prison in 2011, not even completing his full sentence of staying in prison until he was 21, and now lives a completely normal life with his own house and wife and everything. People who do these things don't deserve mercy, sorry but if you're going to ruin someone's life like that you deserve life in prison. For those of you who are curious, here's an article talking about it: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Cruz is 19 years old, he killed 17 people, he have many violent posts on the social pages, he prepared his massacre very well. He gonna have death penalty. I'm 99.9% sure. No matter how he gonna act himself on trial.

His family didn't notice anything... even though he was expelled from school for having ammunition in his back pack, and posted on Snapchat a picture of his cut wrist saying that he wanted to buy a gun, and was then placed under psychiatric evaluation? If they really didn't see any warning signs then they were just unattentive parents. The signs were too obvious in this case. I know that's easy to say, but here they were just too obvious.

Agreed! Someone who does things like this should NEVER be allowed to just continue on with life as if nothing ever happened.
I can feel sympathy for someone up to a point, and quite honestly this kid's life is a very sad tale from what we know so far. BUT regardless of all the things he has been through, he still made the choice to kill 17 innocent people.
After he fired the first shot is where my small amount of sympathy ends.

His adoptive mother died on November 1st, so he briefly went to live with friends. This is the family of another former school friend that took him in after the other situation didn't work out. He only lived with them for a few months.
I posted this story earlier in the thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
They weren't even his parents but they were doing their best by him, helping him get back on track with school, his job and even trying to get him into therapy because he seemed depressed about his mother. I wouldn't blame them.

I feel the same way about E and D as I know you do. My sympathy ends for them at about 11am when they planted the bombs and decided to start shooting.
I think it will be an interesting case to follow.
I also wonder, since I am not well versed but does TJ Lane get a lot of letters and stuff? Did Andrew Golden and Kip Kinkel get any letters or "fan mail"?
Already after seeing Tumblr I can imagine when he gets.

It was taken down, but has since made its way on to youtube and several other sites. This was the one of the girls in the class that ran past the bodies.
