On the 21st of May 2014 a Mass Stabbing occured aon the Tapei Metro Line killing 4 and injuring 24.
Around 16:25 local time inside a Bannan Line train heading from Jianzicui station to Longshan Temple Station (A 5 -10 minute Trip) Cheng Chieh Began hacking and stabbing passengers with a 12 inch fruit knife, During the attack on the train he stabbed 4 to death and injured many, After the train arrived at longshan temple a group of passengers forced him off the Train with Umbrellas into the station where he stabbed and attacked more people before being Subdued.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The perpetrator Cheng Chieh said he did the attack because he was bored and didn't want to live anymore, Cheng said that he always wanted to do something "shocking and big" and said he had planned the attack since childhood. When Cheng was in Elementary School he Would carry a knife on him and threatened to kill teachers and friends over small disagreements.
Cheng blogged about his plans to kill and enrolled at Cheng Chung Institiute of Technology in 2011 with the intention of receiving Military training but was expelled in 2013.
on the same day of the attacks in May 2016 Cheng was executed via Anaesthesia and 3 gunshots to the heart
