I was wondering.

Eric and Dylan had multiple gun battles with the Police, why didn't they use their Pipe Bombs on them? Certainly that would of done more damage than their guns could.

i assume that trying to throw them they could get all shaky and drop them or expose themselves too much

also they'd have to be really good at throwing and some of their pipe bombs didn't even explode

Maybe they didn't feel they could make the distance. Reenactments seem to suggest they were bobbing around the windows as opposed to standing full on in the frame; odd position to throw things.

Or maybe they were just aware of how many pipe bombs weren't working.

Probably because there pipe bombs were completley useless.

Indeed it does. Does anyone know off the top of their head what the success/fail rate was on the explosives?

I think the bombs did some damage to the building, and that could have caused indirect injuries but I think they were mostly scare tactics

Agreed. In my opinion the crickets were basically only used as a scare tactic. They were the most useless, mostly only causing noise, smoke, etc.

Especially since Eric was super confident his propane bombs would work. He probably didn’t worry as much about his small ones.

You mean which ones actually went off and which ones didn't? Cause if you mean "which ones successfully hurt someone" the answer is "none".

I meant the ones that actually worked compared to the ones that ended up being duds.

Could the crickets do any damage? Im guessing the c02 canister doesnt have much steel

They were noise makers at best, just loud booms.
