"Two US Navy officials said at least six people have died in a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, and the Washington police chief says two additional suspects wearing military-style uniforms are at large."

Many reports are saying six people have died and one gunman was killed at the scene but police are still searching for two other "suspects" wearing military style uniforms.

Other reports are saying at least 12 killed and one of the suspects has been identified and is no longer a suspect:

The British news just said "around" 13 people dead (perhaps they included the shooter) and they said one suspect has still not been found. They also identified the dead shooter as Aaron Alexis from Fort Worth, Texas. Apparently he served full time in the military from 2007 - 11 but it is unknown why he left or how he gained access to the facility in Washington. They also added there is no reason to believe the attack was anything to do with terrorism.
This was just what was said on the BBC News Show.

Aaron Alexis had used a Remington 870 shotgun with sawed-off barrel and stock. Etchings on the gun were found.

Etchings on the left side of the shotgun receiver read " Better off this way! and My ELF weapon! "

Etchings on the right side of the shotgun receiver read “Not what yall say!”

Finally, Etchings on the barrel of the Remington 870 shotgun used by Alexis read "End to the torment! "

If you´re interested there is an episode about him in the series (Active Shooter America Under Fire) I can´t remember the episode thought but there are only one season so it should be easy to find.
