Nikolas Cruz and Jesse Osborne both looked up to the Omar Mateen. Nikolas Cruz once said it was cool that he "killed a bunch of gay people" and Jesse Osborne had pictures of him on his iPhone.

Jennifer San Marco mentioned David Berkowitz in her newspaper “The Racist Press” but I don’t really know if he “influenced” her at all. She was actually living in the same area as him when she was a teenager.

Oh ok. I remember hearing this from a documentary I watched on her. I thought it was a lesser known fact so I thought I'd share it. My bad.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Peter Langman's chart is informational and seemingly accurate. They should probably add the STEM shooting, since one of the shooters wanted to plan it for 4/20/18. How original.

Wish I knew more about David Moore. He was the Noblesville West Middle School shooter. I’m surprised he was influenced by Adam Lanza, I guess only Peter Langman knew that.

Randy Stair was influeced by Eric Harris.
Nikolas Cruz might’ve been inspired by James Holmes as well because of a screenshot of the Wikipedia article on the Aurora shooting he had on his phone.

Elliot Rodger researched George Sodini. What’s funny is that incels and incel related forums and online communities used to refer to going on a killing spree as “going Sodini” but then after Elliots rampage he replaced this earlier saying with himself and now it is common for people to use the phrase “going ER”, when referring to a mass murder event.

I’d say it’s because he managed to do it “bigger and better” than the last guy. That’s usually the way it works. Then he brought more attention to the community.
