Did you know Elliot Rodger wanted to kill over 20,000?

From the manifesto, Part 6, 22 years old:

"I mused that once I descend upon Isla Vista, armed with my weapons and my burning hatred, I would definitely make sure to target the people who lived in that house I was attacked in. The plan was to destroy the entirety of Isla Vista, and kill every single person in it, or at least kill as many popular young people I could before the police arrive and I’d have to kill myself."

He was 0.024% of the way there, so not too far off.

I'm pretty sure he was speaking figuratively.

The first part of his sentence is fantasy, then the second part is what he really intended to do. But fantasy is important to better understand people.

I think if you remove the last 3 '0's, then you are more realistic.

I remember watching that long video he did before the attack and read part of his manifest (which is disturbing) so it's no surprise he wanted to kill that many people especially since he talked about an evolution or something through his actions.

He wouldn't be the first mass killer who set his goals sky-high.
