Well, I’m certain that the Shanda Sharer case has already been covered on this forum, since it has received international attention, so I won’t bother including a description of the crime in question.
So, one of Shanda Sharer’s killers, Hope Rippey, appeared on the Dr. Phil show a while back. This is what I find odd; Rippey participated by pouring gasoline on the victim’s body, before she was burned alive. Even though the aforementioned act is unquestionably repulsive and reprehensible, she was sentenced to 60 years in jail like Loveless and Tackett, who both performed significantly more nauseating acts on the victim.
Is it fair that she was given the same punishment as the aforementioned perpetrators? What are your thoughts on this?
Also, Melinda Loveless, the ringleader, will be released in 2019. I find it baffling beyond words. Toni, Laurie and Hope are already out of prison. It’s quite sickening that neither one of Shanda’s killers had to serve out their entire prison sentences.
