Which Shooter remined unchallenged for the longest amount of time? That means, before the police or armed induvidual cornerd the Shooter with nowhere left to run.
I would say Derrick Bird, even in the late stages of his rampage, the first police car was 7 minets behind at Seascale. And of course the DC Snipers.

These are less long than those you mentioned, but the University of Texas shooting lasted pretty long, he had a lot of time to kill many people and I think Columbine is also quite long for a school shooting.
Maybe Dylann Roof too, given that the shooting happened at about 9pm and he was captured the day after at 10am44.
There are probably better examples but these are the ones that come to my mind.

James Huberty's lasted 77 minutes before he was killed. Anders Breivik's shooting went on for 90 minutes before he was arrested by Police.

Pekkas shooting went on for more 40 minutes.
Matti Saari's shooting had happened for nearly 2 hours, but mostly due to him roaming the college shooting at random objects in the hallways, like Pekka.
Michael Ryans Rampage lasted from 12:30 P.M to 6:52 P.M but the last few hours of his life were holed up in his former and what was now abandoned school, and communicating with police.

The Charlie Hebdo terrorists Chérif and Saïd Kouachi managed to escape the area where they murdered 12 persons. They were on the run for two days.

If we take into account terrorists, Mohammed Merah in an interesting case. He did not become a mass shooter until the middle of his escape.

20 March [...] By afternoon, police trace Merah to an apartment in the Côte Pavée neighborhood of Toulouse.
10.30pm Police decide to arrest Merah, his mother and his brother.
21 March 3.20am Police descend on Merah's apartment. Police say he opened fire when officers arrived, shooting one in the knee and a second in his bulletproof vest. Attempts to arrest him are repelled by gunfire and a protracted standoff ensues.
8.05am Minister says Merah has thrown a handgun out window but still has other weapons.
12.30pm Police resume negotiations with Merah.
1.05pm Police union official says Merah has promised to turn himself in the next hour and a half, otherwise police will force their way in. Merah reneges on his pledge but the assault does not materialise.
9pm Street lights cut around Merah's building to help police using night-vision goggles.
11.30pm Three explosions heard from the building, accompanied by orange flashes of light – a tactic police say aims to pressure Merah to give up.
22 March 1.40am Two new blasts and brief bursts of gunfire ring out at the apartment. Sporadic blasts are heard throughout the night at one-hour intervals.
7.10am Interior minister says Merah wants to die "with weapons in his hands".
Police gingerly enter his apartment through the door and the windows. As they arrive, Merah bursts out of the bathroom, shooting officers with his Colt .45 and apparently diving out of a window. Officials say later he was shot in the head.

Mir Qazi was on the run for 4 years after shooting 5 CIA employees. I think he has the record of the longest unapprehended mass shooter, at least in the United States.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] That's absolutely insane considering how he attacked an extremely high security target in the 1990s. The Wikipedia page for him only has a few paragraphs about his escape. I'm wondering if there are any full timelines or articles available back before his execution.

I haven't had any luck finding any, let me know if you come across anything. I definitely find it remarkable that someone could attack CIA officers and then successfully leave the country. As a side note, I've recently learned of 3 mass shooters who were on the run for longer than Qazi. The perpetrators of the Brown's Chicken massacre weren't apprehended for 9 years. An ex-girlfriend gave the tip that ultimately convicted them. The Lane Bryant shooter in Chicago killed 5 women in 2008 and is still unapprehended.

Gabriel Wortman was free to roam through NS, Canada for a long time. Brenton Tarrant had no opposition from the police until after he shot up a second mosque. Martin Bryant had no opposition until he returned to Seascape.
