This is from this past August. I just started listening but it sounds like she might talk a little more about the writing process itself.

Thank you for sharing. I really like that she brings up that the meaning of mental health has become a pretty abstract thing, something that can be of varying degree and sorts and thus is less tangible.

She instead offers brain health. I think she does this partly because she does not want to see that Dylans mind itself was the problem, instead his brain was creating the conditions necessary for his mind to be able to get tangled up in these dark and complicated ideas about life which eventually led him to do what he did.

It would be interesting to know to which extent Sue is right about that, the St Johns wort does imply that Dylan himself thought the depression was a "brain health" issue rather than a product of his own mind. Seeing his Journal though he doesn't seem to resist these feelings very much. Instead he tries to rationalize them by constructing abstract ideas to justify his feelings of alienation and depression.
This of course strengthened them.

To say it was only a brain health issue is wrong according to me. I think people with the same chemical imbalance choose to cope with their feelings in a much more productive manner, his feeling of alienation created these weird thoughts about the universe which ultimately led to him discarding the world as just one part of the universe that he didn't belong to and shouldn't value. He is responsible for constructing the basis for making the choice of killing possible EVEN if the construction was motivated by chemical imbalance.
