Long before he killed 32 people in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, Seung-Hui Cho was bullied by fellow high school students who mocked his shyness and the strange way he talked, former classmates said.
Once, in an English class, the teacher had the students read aloud and, when it was Cho’s turn, he just looked down in silence, Davids recalled in an interview with The Associated Press. Finally, after the teacher threatened to give him a failing grade for participation, Cho started to read in a strange, deep voice that sounded “like he had something in his mouth,” Davids said. “As soon as he started reading, the whole class started laughing and pointing and saying, ‘Go back to China,’” Davids said.
I am sure Cho experienced a lot of bullying through his life because of his selective mutism despite how people denying it in the documentaries about him. With such an extreme case of selective mutism people will tease a person like that there is no doubt about it.
What do you guys think?

Well I don't think he was picked on in college, right? I'm not sure if we can point to bullying in high school as an explanation for lashing out violently in college.

He probably wasn´t picked on the same way as in High School but I am sure people made fun of him. The way everyone describes how extreme his selective mutism was I am sure people would giggle or laugh behind his back.

That is stuff like this I am talking about, when people have such a horrible problem as selective mutism then Cho was bound to have been bullied about it.

I feel kind of sorry for Cho. I don’t justify his actions at all but his classmates really treated him horribly.
