9/11 was the only rampage killing in the US in the 21st century that used a knife. Knives are unusual weapons in a mass murder because they tend to be "personal weapons" which in that case are mostly implicated in individual homicides to a person the victim knew. Guns , fire and bombs are not like that.

This surprised me a bit because I was looking for Chinese stabbings and I didn't find anything related, I just found out about it today, and I was surprised by the number of deaths since it was a case a bit hard to find
