Raymundo Memado - killed ten Indigenous people

Raymundo Memado was a Brazilian that killed ten people in Alcobaça, Bahia, Brazil in July 1902.

In July of that year, forty-Indigenous people invaded the city of Alcobaça, and looted the guns of Manoel João, and attacked inhabitants of the city. Memado shot and killed ten of the Indigenous people, disbanding them.

Do someone knows another cases of violence against Indigenous people or mass killing where the victims were Indigenous? Thanks in advance.

This seems more like a case of self defense than a mass murder.

Yeah, its similar to the the case of Ahmat, where a large number of Chinese, who were members of a secret society, entered the village to intimidate its Malay inhabitants. While they were searching for Ahmat, who had went hiding, they chanced upon one of the latter's relatives, an old man, and struck him down. Seeing the assault from his hiding place Ahmat armed himself with a pistol and a parang, charged at the soon dispersing crowd and attacked them until he himself was killed, leaving seven of the Chinese dead and 14 others wounded, four of them so seriously that their recovery was not expected. There was no police in the village at the time.
