Yeah. If it's true (and granted that's a big if) then I'd chalk this up as the most disappointing motive and shallowest reason for going on a mass shooting in history.

I really don't know what to think. The phone has apparently been verified as having being owned/registered to Paddock, but this woman has only just now contacted the media? It just adds to my skepticism.

I could understand if she didn't want to go to the media in the immediate aftermath of the killings. Less plausible is the idea that the police either never knew about this woman or arbitrarily chose not to publicize this information. Other than that I think your post is spot-on. I think the best we can hope for is to wait for law enforcement to confirm or deny the story.

Oh I guess I was wrong. I remember reading on the news Paddock lost some his income to gambling. And that he decided to take his revenge of New Vegas by shooting people and lowering tourism.
