| So a couple of days ago I happened across an interesting Reddit post about Heidi Johnson. She was in the library at the time of the shooting and jumped up with Craig Scott to help “lead” students out the escape door. She does not relay the statement below when the police question her on April 20; instead, her mother calls the police on May 6, 1999 and says that Heidi has additional information. Supposedly Brooks Brown was speaking to a friend on the phone on April 20 named Joel Cline. Cline alleged he called the Browns around 1:30ish on April 20 to check on Aaron, but it was Brooks who answered the telephone. Then Joel Cline relayed the conversation to another one of his friends and also his co-worker Rob Phye, who then told co-worker Holly. I found it kind of interesting that Clyde said he told Brooks while the shooting was happening that “Something big is going to happen and he did not think those guys were going to come out alive.” It’s also interesting that Brooks tells his friend Joel that he needs to call the cops to tell them everyone in the school is going to get killed. Hadn’t he already called the police by that time (1:30)? Heidi’s updated statement (in May) can be found on pages 440 and 441; Joel Cline’s statement can be found on page 13087. I have also included all information (with the important information circled) for convenience. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Perhaps he thought that the police did not take him seriously and thought that if Joel also calls they will react? _________________ Life is like a tram - you need to know when to get off.
