Mass shooters with far-right backgrounds? Empty
PostSubject: Mass shooters with far-right backgrounds?   Mass shooters with far-right backgrounds? Icon_minitimeSat Aug 01, 2020 6:04 pm

I consider myself relatively right-wing, and I find it quite interesting how this has become the new form of rebellion against the totalitarian liberal system. There's been countless mass shootings/attempted mass shootings (and other weapons used) in recent years, as far back as the 2010s. Starting in 2011, you had the Giffords shooter, who listed Mein Kampf as one of his favorite books, didn't like women esp. in positions of power and allegedly subscribed to the American Renaissance newsletter. Then that same year you had the attacks in Norway by Anders Breivik who self-identified as an "Odinist National Socialist" and made Nazi salutes in court while railing against multiculturalism in Europe.

In 2012, you had the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting by Wade Michael Page that killed 7, wounded 3. In Tulsa, Oklahoma there was a racially motivated spree shooting in a black neighborhood that killed 3, wounded 2 by Jake England and Alvin Watts. And lastly, there was a cop killing by sovereign citizens in Louisiana that killed 2, wounded 2.

In 2014, there was the Overland Park Jewish Community Center shooting by Frazier Glenn Miller, Jr. that killed 3. Then there was the Isla Vista killings by Elliot Rodger. According to Wikipedia:

>He wrote in My Twisted World that being of mixed race made him "different from the normal fully white kids". On one online forum, he said that he opposed interracial dating and made several racist posts regarding African-American, Hispanic, South Asian and East Asian people, stating that seeing men of these ethnic groups socializing with white women "makes you want to quit life." In one online post, Rodger wrote:

>Full Asian men are disgustingly ugly and white girls would never go for you. You're just butthurt that you were born as an Asian piece of shit, so you lash out by linking these fake pictures. You even admit that you wish you were half white. You'll never be half-white and you'll never fulfill your dream of marrying a white woman. I suggest you jump off a bridge.

>In his manifesto, Rodger made a racist comment regarding another boy, outlining some of his plans:

>How could an inferior, ugly black boy be able to get a white girl and not me? I am beautiful, and I am half white myself. I am descended from British aristocracy. He is descended from slaves.

Then there was an attempted mass shooting where a member of the Phineas Priesthood fired more than 100 rounds and tried to burn the Mexican consulate before he was shot dead by police in Austin, Texas. And lastly that year, there was the Las Vegas cop killings by Jerad and Amanda Miller, whose ideology has been described as “along the lines of militia and white supremacists” by a police official.

In 2015, there was the Charleston church shooting that killed 9, injuring another by Dylann Storm Roof in South Carolina. Then there was the Umpqua Community College shooting committed by Chris Harper-Mercer which killed 9, wounding 8. According to the Los Angeles Times, unnamed law enforcement sources described him as a "hate-filled" man with antireligious and white supremacist leanings, and with long-term mental-health issues. On the day of the shooting, Harper-Mercer gave a survivor numerous writings showing he had studied mass killings, including the 2014 killing spree at Isla Vista, California. These expressed his sexual frustration as a virgin, animosity toward black men, and a lack of fulfillment in his isolated life.

Then there was the shooting at a movie theater in Louisiana by far-right etremist John Russell Houser that killed 2, wounding 9, the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooting committed by anti-abortion extremist Robert Lewis Dear Jr., killing 3, wounding 9, the shooting in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where three Muslims were killed by gunman Craig Stephen Hicks and an attempted mass shooting in Arizona that killed 1, wounded 5 committed by racist skinhead Ryan Giroux.

And the list just goes on from there. From what I've also noticed, most black mass shooters tend to target white people more and also tend to have heavy racial undertones. Does anyone know why this is? Most mass shooters tend to associate with the far-right from what I know. Very few are far-left.
