Hard to believe it’s been that long.
1999 feels like yesterday; 2009 feels like a few hours ago. But we’re closer to 2029 than we are to 2009.

Yep. Heck, we are so far into the future from 1999.
The Afghan and Iraqi wars came and went. Obama came and went. Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong-Il Ghaddafi, Fidel Castro and Osama Bin Laden are all dead. The Islamic Caliphate came and went. The financial crisis of 2007 came and went. The Eurozone debt crisis came and went. We sequenced the whole human genome. MIR was deorbited and the International Space station firmly took its place. We have wireless internet, USB drives, cloud applications, electric cars, [paid video streaming online, VR helmets.
and now of course we are slowly going out of the worst pandemic since ww1.
Weird times we live in.
