| Columbine high school wasn't even in the Littleton city limits and it's not even in the same county. Yet the media constantly referred to "Littleton".
Even the mayor of Littleton acknowledged that it wasn't in her jurisdiction at the memorial.
EDIT:
On a quick google search, it turns out some of Littleton is in Jefferson County, but the school is still not in the city limits.
Local politics can get confusing.

| Is there a reason they were referring to Littleton? I'm not from the United States so it's a bit difficult for me to understand , was it a nearby place? |

I'm pretty sure when you write out the address of Columbine High School, you put "Littleton" as the city. this is an example of an address: 7301 S Santa Fe Dr, Littleton, CO 80120 You can have "Littleton" in the address but not be in the city limits at all. | |

| it's also funny to look at Google Maps and see the sheer number of things that are called "Columbine" around the area. Because that's literally the name of the whole community. Not incorporated though. Columbine is also the State Flower of Colorado. | |
