Kyle Valasguez

I think kyle's murder was one of the most tragic things ever (He was mentally handicapped so he didn't understand the danger coming his way. Kyle was in the library at one of the computer tables when the killers entered the library. He did not know to hide so he curled up under the table. Dylan Klebold shot kyle in the head and back. He died under the computer) and probably the most often forgotten of the 13 victims.

Prob a stupid question but I have read 2 accounts....one that Kyle did hide under a table and the other that he was wearing headphones or something and was still seated in his chair when shot. Which is true?

Apparently he was under one but not properly hidden because he didn't get why alarms were blaring or why Patti was yelling for everyone to get down

It really breaks my heart. Has anyone read if he said anything before his death?

I can't find a source now but I have read somewhere that Kyle was kicked out his previous high school for bullying and arson. He'd not been at Columbine long at all.

Only 3 months he'd been at CHS and was just beginning to come out of his shell when the massacre occurred. It was only a few weeks that he was staying at the school through lunch; a few weeks earlier and he would've been on his way home the day the shooting started

I don't think the bullying and arson thing is true since he was described as a gentle giant

Here's a link to where we brushed on the topic of Kyle and his past. Myself, Ivan and PaintItBlack all appear to have read some things in the past about Kyle apparently setting fires. I can't recall where I saw it originally just now but it must be somewhere if a couple of us have seen it.

I doubt he said anything because like most of the 13 he most likely died almost instantly due to being shot point blank

I remember reading those things about Kyle too, about bullying and arson. Couldn't tell you where I read them though!

There was the documentary on TV in the UK on Sunday night about Columbine - the one where Craig Scott explains about Kyle liking Panda's etc. I got excited at first when I saw the name Columbine in the title of the show only to be thoroughly disappointed when after 10 seconds of it I knew I'd seen it multiple times before - didn't stop me watching it again though.
