What do you think? Where would he be now if NBK never happened, how would his adult life look like? Would he stay in touch with Eric, or move on?

Depends I think he would have either killed himself shortly after HS, or he would be doing some sort of work in the computer field.

I think had he lived he probably would have had a relationship with the first girl that gave him attention. And I don't see that working well.

With Dylan's state of mind being as it was, I don't think he was really compatible with life at that point. Maybe with some very intensive therapy he could have gotten better. But if he had just gone on the way he was at that time with no intervention, then I honestly feel that Dylan would have eventually killed himself later down the road.

I think he would become a sound engineer. Speaking of suicide, I have mixed feelings. I don't think he would just grab a rope and finish himself out of nowhere. I have a thought he would either carry on those tendencies which would later develop in an alcohol/drug addiction and have similar problems his brother had, or just snap and speak out, and get some help. The latter is unlikely, but the possibilities are not canceled.

I think he would have done something in the computer field, but I don't think he would have a happy life. I do not see him being able to maintain a stable loving adult relationship with a woman, and he would be quick to use alcohol or drugs to cope with these disappointments. I think suicide would always be a possibility. I don't see him seeking professional help and therapy, though maybe as he aged or hit rock bottom, he would seek a mature solution and make an honest attempt with therapy. Without help, I do not see him having a long and healthy life.
