What happened with their bag packs?

After shooting at the propane bomb Eric picked up his bag pack,

but in a later picture it's missing.

Why did he get rid of it, and what was inside the bag pack?

He set it down on the table at 11:45 AM when he picked up a cup to take a drink. The bag had pipe bombs in it. Look at the CCTV footage before and after 11:45 and you will see the bag.

As Jenn said, it was left on one of the tables in the cafeteria (visible on the cafeteria footage). As far as exactly what was in it, I'm not sure as I cannot find the bag on the evidence log. But yea, I'd assume ammo/bombs.
