The Bunker

In the basement tapes and maybe a few other places (writings?) Dylan mentions "The Bunker", in the basement tapes he points the camera at the window on 2 separate occasions and mentions "The Bunker is out there, its buried"

Does anyone know what they are talking about? Was it a secret spot out in the woods to bury supplies or something?

I think I have an idea what the bunker was.

So I’ve noticed in Colorado people have a lot of furnished basements and there tends to be these like almost open areas in front of the window that looks like you could plant some flowers or something in them and it lets the light in and it’s hard to explain but I always thought that the bunker was in one of those things and buried in some dirt.

In sues book she mentions that after hearing about what I believe was the bunker in the basement tapes Kate Battan said police officers had to go back to the Harris and look again. So it definitely was something that was very hidden.

There's a piece of paper where Eric wrote was in the bunker. His whiskey is in there and a few 'grenades' and stuff.

That is what is known as an egress window. You need one to make a basement room into a bedroom for fire safety

Was Eric's bedroom downstairs? So they were hiding stuff in one of those? Like just opened his window and stuck the stuff out there? Was the top covered somehow though? I'd think someone would find it walking around outside, like maybe his parents or brother?

His bedroom was in the basement he pretty much had the whole downstairs to himself.

I agree with Screaming. The bunker definitely wasn't some fallout shelter in the woods. They probably buried some things in the ground right out front of the window. Wasn't anything spectacular.

Well I guess that answers that

Im not so sure that a window is their bunker.
