Peterson probably thinks that what is true in the Bible is the property title on the land of Palestine, making the Bible a land register. And surely he misses the fundamental truth that scapegoats are innocent and can't be legitimately persecuted and killed. In all cultures gods are guilty and put to death, as Nietzsche wrote: "God remains dead. And we have killed him." without even understanding the depth of his sentence. Peterson's hatred for the revolt of the harassed, persecuted, bullied and other school scapegoats, his efforts to make demons and evil beings of them, exclude him if Christianity, and label him as a pagan. Because being a Christian is acknowledging the truth that our scapegoat was innocent and that his killing was not justice but our only violence. Lynching has nothing to do with justice, the mob is only violence and only ugliness. When making so much effort to demonize the revolt of the scapegoat, Peterson tries to exculpate the violence of the persecutors. His religiosity is archaic, old fashioned, as old as the Papuan tribes. But whatever the definition given to truth, nobody can beat the truth that our scapegoat was innocent. If Peterson was a genuine Christian, he wouldn't care about the definition of truth. The one who cares about the definition of truth is Pilate: the one who gives consent, the one who approves of the persecution of the innocent. Peterson is a contemporary Pilate. And he's completely lost.
