Jeffrey Weise,im not sure if im right but he also engaged in a Brief shootout while still inside the school. David Malcolm Gray (Aramoana?) was killed in a shootout with special Police forces.

Oh,and the Shooter from Thailand,the soldier who killed several at his military-base and then went into the Shopping-Mall. (Dont know his Name right know)

2019 Jersey City shooting. Hate-crime-motivated spree killing perpetrated by a male/female pair, lasting a few days, ending in a shootout lasting over an hour in a heavily populated neighborhood. The final attack was supposed to be much bigger, but the original plan got foiled by a detective who questioned them and was killed, leading them to undertake a different ending to their spree. They also had a pipe bomb capable of killing people "five football fields away," which was not detonated.

The question still has not been answered of how two homeless people who were living out of a van and breaking into the woman's foreclosed house to sleep, had the resources/wherewithal to build something like that.

Most of these are likely ones you've already heard of and might not count since many don't end with the explicit death of the perpetrator at police hands. Nonetheless I hope you still enjoy.

Umpqua shooter Chris Harper-Mercer got into a shoot-out with cops prior to killing himself (they wounded him).

Santa Fe shooter Dimitri Pagourtzis got into a shoot-out with a couple of cops that lasted several minutes. He surrendered without hitting anyone.

Michael Mc Lendon exchanged gunfire with police at the tail end of his rampage, getting chased for 24 miles, injuring one before committing suicide.

Luby's shooter George Hennard briefly shot at police before killing himself, failing to hit anyone.

Thousand Oaks shooter Ian Long fired at police, injuring one who would end up killed in a friendly fire accident.

Pittsburgh synagogue shooter Robert Bowers injured four police officers in his shooting spree.

Erfurt shooter Robert Steinhauser killed a cop before killing himself.

ESL shooter Richard Farley fired at police officers a few times before surrendering, failing to hit anyone.

Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis killed a security officer and injured a police officer before being killed by police.

Charles Whitman killed a cop during his rampage and was killed by police.

Brenda Spencer injured a cop before surrendering to police.

Finally, as you're no doubt aware, Eric and Dylan fired at police several times during the Columbine shooting, hitting none.  

There are others I knew of but they were either Muslims or people who targeted police only. If you want I can list those too.

The police had to have misspoken or lied. There's no way a pipe bomb can kill people from that distance.

I think it's a terminology error. The two perpetrators of the Jersey City shooting were driving a U-Haul truck or a van, which leads me to believe that it was probably a McVeigh/Breivik ANFO truck bomb. That'd make much more sense..

That would make sense as to why they stole an entire U-Haul, rather than just using the van they were living out of. On top of that, the police said there was also "sufficient material in the van to make a second bomb."

But the police have always been very unclear on the nature of the bomb. My suspicion is that the investigation is still ongoing into what kind of assistance they may have had, or even if they were working on behalf of someone else.

Sulejman Talović killed five people and wounded four others at Trolley Square Mall before dying in a shootout with police.

Jeff Weise got in a shootout with police during the Red Lake High School shooting. He was shot in the abdomen and right arm by an officer, then committed suicide in a vacant classroom.

Stephen Balliet had a brief shootout with the cops with his slam fire shotguns. Fired a couple of times at them down the street he was at before getting his neck grazed by a bullet while he was trying to drive away.
