Mass shooters who already had a claim to fame

Any examples?

Elliot Rodger, his father was a producer for The Hunger Games film series and Elliot was invited to premieres/exclusive events and had many high profile acquaintances in the film industry.
Not a mass shooter but John Christian, who shot his teacher in 1978 at Murchison Junior Highschool, was the son of George Christian, the former press secretary of Lyndon B. Johnson.
Trey Sesler also had a small claim to fame by having a somewhat successful Youtube channel and possibly being one of the first anime review channels on Youtube.

John Christian is forgotten and is disappeared from society’s view, though he fits a profile, intelligent , well informed , possibly devious / disturbed / , he was into academics iirc being raised in a prestigious household , and wasn’t given much attention. He wasn’t just disturbed just in basis of genetics but probably also because lack of affection being the only child. He wrote a narristic short story about a robot that rips off boy’s foreskins. He was read up on females / sex. He wasn’t one to instigate things ,but wanted to cause a disturbance or die by his own had to accomplish his longing for awaited attention. He wasn’t set on causing mass destruction and gaining notoriety or anything like that , he wasn’t a narcissist .. upcoming shooters like him and once that have already commited their act will face harsh consequences , but Christian was let off the hook with just a bit of therapy as a result of his age, inherit wealth, color, and most clearly the year it happend. To me he falls into the catergory with Crimo and Barbaro , maybe Poulin.

Shocked to see that no one has mentioned Randy Stair. In 2011 Ray William Johnson featured him on a video, at the time he was the biggest YouTuber on the site and Randy’s channel at the time was relatively successful.

Omar Mateen appeared in a documentary about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Bobby Crimo was a rapper and even has a IMDB page.

Randy Stair had a few decently big collaborations/moments during his YouTube endeavor.

He collaborated with Makemebad35 three times. Mr. Horse Head Meets Mr. Wooden Alligator, his second collab with Damian, got over 100,000 views, making it his most viewed video on his PioneersProductions channel.

Also in January of 2009, Fred watched and liked one of Randy's Christmas videos inspired by Fred, leading to over 10k views on that video and hundreds of new subscribers.

Randy's WorthlessToaster channel had a few uploads, and one hit over 1 million views before the shooting occurred.

Gadzhimurad Kagirov was an MMA fighter & even was live on tv before being one of the shooters in Dagestan attacks.

Lucas De Oliveira was a Tiktok star in Brazil & collaborated with different Brazilian musicians/influencers. He was also extremely controversial because he was a cross dresser & was drawing swastikas on his face.
