Did Robbie Hawkins use an AK or an SKS?

I've heard claims that Robbie Hawkins either used an AK or an SKS. From the CCTV, it sure looks like an AK, but he could've been using an AK mag adapter on an SKS.

He used semi-automatic AK-47.

AR's are more customizable and you can get a good AR for cheap. You cant get a good AK for under 900 or so nowadays. ARs are more effective anyways, shooters like Patrick Purdy or Santino Legan used AKs and their injury count was much higher than their kill count. Even Patrick Crusius had an injury count equal to his kill count. Shooters probably see that the deadliest shooters used AR-15s or other rifles chambered in 5.56 and that convinces them to also use an AR. A lot of these guys are carbon copies anyways.

Also, the US sanctioned Russian arms so 7.62 ammo is much more expensive now

I found some baller AKs for around 600 bucks on an auction website. Then again, the same website's filled with M1 Garands and Carbines.
