Why is Elliot Rodger the patron saint of incels?

It really baffles me how Elliot Rodger is considered the face of the incel community. His "Day of Retribution" was an abysmal failure, nothing like how it was described in his manifesto. Of the mere six people he killed, two-thirds were men, three being his roomates. Yet for some reason he's revered as the patron saint of the movement.

Why doesn't Seung-Hui Cho get the same level of veneration? He remains vastly underrated despite being one of the deadliest mass shooters of all time. Cho managed to efficiently and methodically carry out his plan, whereas Rodger couldn't even break into the sorority house. I don't condone mass shooter worship, but Cho is undoubtedly a worthier candidate for sainthood.

The fact that he left videos and his manifesto in which he expressed his ideas in great detail made him a heroe in the incel community,  Although murderers such as George Sodini had almost the same motivation, and in the case of Sodini he left a web and videos where he talked about his ideas, They weren't nearly as detailed as Elliot's, plus Sodini was an old man, Which makes it less relatable to the incel community who are mostly young people.

And with respect to cho, his personality is very basic, the typical schizophrenic angry with society, although the same could be said of Elliot, elliot had specific objectives, Which made him win sympathy from people who hated the same people, in this case womens and popular mens

Motive doesn't fit

It depends on the incel but he was someone who stood up against women and they parade him around like a hero. A lot of them like ER and a lot of them dont.

He was the guy who put incels on the map, before this, nobody gave two shits about 'em. Funny, he wasn't even in the incel movement.
