3 school shootings at the same school

My little state has the unfortunate experience of having had 3 shootings at the same school. Delaware State University in the state capitol of Dover had a shooting in 2007 in which 1 person was killed and 1 other wounded. Another in 2015 where 3 were wounded. And another in 2022 where 4 were wounded.
This might be some kind of record for the most school shootings at one school.
I want to stay away from that school.

Gang related?

I think one was a robbery that went bad and the other two were arguments that got nuts. I am aware that over the last few years Dover has gotten a gang problem, though.

Our legislature here believes that copying Maryland's gun laws will prevent us from having the same level of gun problems Baltimore has. LOL.

It has happened again.

This morning around 1:40 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was shot and killed just outside of a dormitory at Delaware State University.

It's becoming one of those schools where you don't know what's going to happen next.

A school shooting and two days later the police still haven't arrested anybody.

Maybe the only thing scarier than a school shooting is an UNSOLVED school shooting.

Still no arrests made in the April 21 shooting at DSU.

I've actually been by that college. It's right across the street from the city's main shopping mall.

They're saying she was visiting friends and was planning to enroll at the school. I don't think it was a drive-by. The news hasn't reported some details of what happened.

Two weeks and still no arrest in the DSU shooting.

I don't know if she was still alive when paramedics arrived, but from what I read I get the strong impression she probably wasn't. She was pronounced dead at the Dover hospital.
If she was still conscious, she could have given a description of who did it, and no description has (yet) been released in the news.

Finally...at last.
They arrested two guys for the DSU school shooting. Neither were students at the school. One was arrested up in New York City, the other in Dover.

So she was just visiting friends and walked outside alone at 1:40 AM in the small hours? Really, seriously?
That would sound unusual even in Poland, not to mention in the US where the violent crime rates are much higher.

Feels fishy to me.

Seriously spekaing, I don't think it is either here or there. How much more likely would it be for a black girl to be out alone at 1:40 AM than it would be for a white girl of the same age? Feels fishy in both cases imho.

It may have been gang-related. The news is saying she was not the intended target, but haven't said how the police know that. Delaware's capitol, Dover, does have some gang problems. Some neighborhoods in downtown Dover look like they have been through a battle zone.
Dover (a city of just 35,000 people) has so many shootings these days.

It's looking like the DSU shooting wasn't directed against the school. They're now saying two guys got into a fight with two other guys and started shooting and Camay DeSilva accidentally ended up with a head shot.
The two guys they arrested for this are just a couple of slugs and will be under the jail for a while.
