Vaanta school shooting

3 students shot and injured after 12yo student opened fire at elementary school in Vaanta near Helsinki. The suspect has been arrested by local police officers. His motives are still unknown.

Update: One of the injured students died.

What is known to this date:

· Perpetrator used 22 lr revolver which he stolen from "closest relatives", probably parents, and wear a mask & headphones.

· The shooter was transferred to the school 2 months ago and had reputation of bully.

· Died student - boy, two other injured - girls. One of the girls kosovan origin.

· Perpetrator would not be convincted by laws due to his age.

I read Finland has 5.6 million people and 1.5 million guns. Over 25%. That's pretty good.

No. In Virginia this 5 year old shot his teacher. Idk if that counts.

He stole his parent’s gun. Apparently it was put in the open and not locked up.

They were interviewing people in Finland after Vantaa and one guy thought a .22 revolver was an assault weapon and said people shouldn't have anything that powerful.

I think maybe paint ball is the closest you can get to actually holding/using a gun. Maybe airsoft? Idk if it’s legal in the UK

I think there's a place in manchester that does laser shooting with 'real guns' and Id love to try that out just to get to feel one. obviously they arent REALLY real but they used to be or something... also used to work with a guy that did shooting with clay pigeons, but the way he described it made it kinda sound like a club with exclusively men in their forties and id feel kinda awkward without anyone closer to my age

I've been looking into it and we do! my big problem is that I get lost rlly easily so rarely travel alone, might talk my friend into coming with but it isn't really his thing, the one closest to me (like an hour and 45mins by bus) had been closed for a little bit so I never got the chance might bite the bullet and go by myself, I wanna do it so bad
