Why Didn't Cruz Reference Lanza?

Nikolas Cruz's preparation for his 2018 Parkland Massacre consisted of him researching mass murderers for their skills and choice in weapons. He mentions: Columbine, Virginia Tech, Aurora, and a few others. In his search history and youtube comments he praises and lists past mass murderers. If Nikolas was so obsessed with Mass Murderers why did he not mention Adam Lanza at all? My theory is that he was obsessed with alt-right stuff and believed the Alex Jones conspiracies at the time so that is why he never mentioned Lanza. Interestingly they both used AR-15s in schools and both sparked major gun control and movements.

Maybe he was only interested in high school shootings and wasn't interested in the killing of small children.

As CanIHelpYou already said, Cruz was probably only interested in high school and college massacres; he also studied non-school shooters such as James Holmes and Omar Mateen, suggesting that he was interested in fame-seeking shooters (like Holmes), ideological extremists (Mateen) and edgy teens who killed other teens.
