Adam was delusional, admitted to having hallucinations

I knew about this for some time now, but have not been comfortable with sharing this in public. However now that Reed published it, I guess its ok to discuss this.

So yes, Adam had deeper mental issues than Asperger - he suffered from delusions. This alone is probably a very good indicator that Asperger was in fact a bogus diagnosis. Reed believes the diagnosis was concocted at the request of Adam's mother, who used the Asperger diagnosis as a pretext to keep him away from school.

Seems the short time Lanza was in contact with Yale psychologists, they seems to have doubted the Asperger diagnosis and probably put forward a schizophrenia diagnosis. This is not clear, but given the above evidence, it seesm likley. Adam's mom had taken him away from the Yale crowd, probabkly because she feared the impact of a more serious diagnosis.

Guess this is really very strong eveidence in favor of all those who pointed to Adam's mental condition as the prime reason behind the Sandy Hook events.

Adam's mental health was such a deeper problem than thought, it is a tragedy that his mother and professionals neglected him. Just shows how society is today. Living a life of mental illness is very sad, and to hallucinate faces and having the feeling of dead people behind him must have been terrifying. If only we could go back in time and make his life more bearable, it is weird to think of how much things would have changed. It is so clear to us that he had large problems just from research, so I can't quite comprehend how those who were supposed to help him got it so wrong.

This has also been very useful in my thinking on his motives. Evidently mental illness played a large part in the massacre. It is enthralling to be able to read some of his private messages, I have such a desire to piece together his life to the largest extent possible and this has been very useful for that.
