Christening the new Columbine on the first day of classes - Monday, August 28, 1995: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(DeAngelis became principal at the beginning of the 1996/97 school year - Eric and Dylan's sophomore year, and Rocky's first year at Columbine. (Rocky started as a junior - he was thrown out of two private schools for fighting.)

Never heard of Principal Ron Mitchell. I guess that means DeAngelis hadn't been there very long.
Those cheerleading uniforms look charmingly out of date, like something from 1980. (I say this because plugging "Columbine" into Google Images invariably brings up two images first--E&D's suicide, and a pic of a bunch of cheerleaders dancing.)

Strange to see it without the painting on the wall. And 1998 seemed 'retro'. I think that is Sanders walking down the steps, similar head shape.

Is that Dave Sanders near the top of the stairs?

the 1995 video is chilling. He has no idea about how famous it will become, what will go on there. It is just a school to him. The part when he films the road and you see a single car drive past, just knowing that person is passing that school without even turning to look at it as it is just an innocent school.
