Yes, it sure does. On this day (January 31) in 1999, the Broncos won the Super Bowl again.

| It was not on this day, per se, but on Super Bowl Sunday 1998, Nate Dykeman saw Eric and Dylan blow up one of their pipe bombs. And a few days later, they were arrested.
Incidentally, we're watching the game right now. (The Broncos are ahead.) A few minutes ago we heard three loud explosions that must have been right across the street. We're guessing that some of the neighbors got drunk and set off some fireworks.
But who knows? Maybe it's a couple of troubled youths who are destined to do something worse more than a year from now.

| UPDATE: Some cops are parked on our street right now ... they got a few calls. Those explosions were loud.
All of this reminds me that Eric and Dylan once worked at a fireworks stand ... their payment was that they got to keep all of the fireworks that were left over after the stand closed.
(If you knew that you were going to keep all of the fireworks that didn't get sold, then what incentive would you have to sell any?)

| I bought my first car (well it was a 1995 Chevy S10) on the day before the Super Bowl in 1999. I picked it up the day of the Super Bowl. And I remember when I got home my friend had told me the Broncos won.

| The Broncos have won.
Peyton Manning's first season in the NFL was '98 ... he played his first pro game around the time that Eric and Dylan began their senior year.
